Appearance
Though short for a male Au Ra, in most other ways, Altai looks like a fairly typical Xaela in his early 20's. Ink blue hair tied back in a braid, brown eyes with gold limbal rings, and dark skin compose his most obvious physical traits. However, those close enough to see him without sleeves would likely note the thick rope scars winding up his arms.Most recently, Altai sustained electrical burns that left him with branching scars over his hands and back, making him more likely to stay covered.His sense of style tends toward comfortable embellishment. Most of his loose tunics are threaded with embroidery, and he can seldom be found without some kind of jewelry though nothing he wears looks over expensive. He seems particularly proud of a glass earring and a delicate anklet....
Background
Altai doesn't wear much of his history on his sleeve, but there are a few facts and rumors that may have become common. He has been working as an adventurer in Limsa for the last two years or so, making a name for himself there. He has a reputation as a stalwart if quiet defender well-suited to team missions and dangerous combat.For the last year, he has worked as a house manager with the Ember Adventuring Company. Altai spends much of his time either working for the EAC or resting at their headquarters in Mist these days.Rumor has it, he might also be growing a home of his own. He can occasionally be seen out and about with two infant miqote, his daughters, or with his lovers, Isander and Tsetseg.In the Steppe, Altai is also relatively well known among those who frequent Reunion. They would know him as a devotee of Nhaama and former resident of Dalamiq. Rumor tells he has been cast out, though the whys and hows of his disappearance remain unclear.Members of the Dalamiq or Tumet tribes are liable to know much more about him--please feel free to reach out for more information!

It's relatively well known in Reunion and Dalamiq that Altai's technical tribe name was Tumet. What happened to lead him to Dalamiq? Perhaps your character knows...
